December Happenings
There was a lot going on during December in 3B. We started out the month by making ornaments for some soldiers in Afghanistan.
But before we made the ornaments, we wrote letters to send to the soldiers wishing them a Merry Christmas, and letting them know that we are thankful for everything they are doing for our country, and that we are praying for them and their families.

After writing the letters, it was time to get to work on the ornaments. We had to paint popsicle sticks green, then glue on some different colored sequins. Finally, we glued the sticks together to make a Christmas tree.

Thank goodness we had some parent helpers! There was a lot going on, and we couldn't have done it without them!

Making the ornaments was a lot of work, but it was certainly worth it. The Christmas trees turned out great!
A few days after making the ornaments, it was time to go shopping!

There were even gifts for our pets!

The Secret Santa Shop was a lot of fun, and it really put us in the Christmas spirit.
For a few weeks in December, the second floor collected donations for the Interfaith Homeless Shelter in Harrisburg.

We made ornaments and hung them on the tree.
We brought in donations of things like toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and baby items just to name a few, and we put them under the tree.

And we were reminded of how good it feels to give rather than to receive.
On December 17th, we had a real treat . . . a visit from the Earth Dome! It was ENORMOUS!!
